Crusaders Place 13 On Academic Honor Roll

Feb. 9, 2005

Worcester, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's cross country team placed 13 members on the Women's Cross Country Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office.

Leading the Crusaders was senior Caitlin Crowley (Delmar, N.Y.) and freshman Meghan Lytle (Lewiston, N.Y.), who each earned a 3.78 grade-point average last fall. Crowley is majoring in psychology, while Lytle is a history major.

Also representing Holy Cross were seniors Michela Byrne (Portland, Ore.), Emily Carpuso (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Kathryn Thornton (Burbank, Calif.), juniors Brittany Chapman (Haddonfield, N.J.), Grace Doherty (Scranton, Pa.) and Erin Duggan (Rockville Centre, N.Y.), sophomore Megan Hyland (Rye, N.Y.) and freshmen Alexandra Booth (Short Hills, N.J.), Christie Kapothanasis (Westbrook, Maine) and Ann Whalen (Lagrangeville, N.Y.).

Holy Cross' 13 members on the Women's Cross Country Academic Honor Roll were second to Bucknell that placed 14 on the list.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the seven League-sponsored fall championship sports.
